The Collective · Executive peer group, Medford, Oregon

A leadership circle for senior executives who refuse to lead on autopilot

The Collective brings eight to twelve senior leaders and business owners together monthly in Medford to sharpen each other’s thinking, pressure-test decisions and practice leading differently, facilitated by Anna Barnhill, MCC. Now accepting applications for the founding cohort.

Why it exists

Most leadership communities are networking in disguise. This is not that.

The book gives you the blueprint. Coaching gives you personal transformation. There is a third element neither can provide: the practice of leading differently in the company of others who are doing the same. The Collective exists for that.

Reading Leaderwired can shift how you think about leadership. Books do not transform leaders; practice does. The Collective is where the methodology becomes operational: a small group of senior leaders working through the 7-5-3 Human Upgrade Code together, with Anna facilitating and holding the space where the real work happens.

No pitch decks. No self-promotion. No passive observation. Leadership at the top is isolating: your team looks to you for answers, your board expects confidence, and the colleagues you once confided in now report to you. This is the room where you can say “I don’t know” and leave with one decision improved, one mistake avoided, or one insight you could not have reached alone.

Inside the Collective

What membership includes

Monthly strategic dialogues

In-person 2.5-hour sessions in Medford where members bring real dilemmas, not case studies. Facilitated by Anna. Structured for depth, not performance.

Operating System Labs

Quarterly deep-dives into the 7-5-3 framework: belief architecture one quarter, emotional processing the next. Systematic, not scattered.

Curated peer connections

Introductions based on complementary challenges, not industries. The person who can help you most may lead in a different sector.

A direct channel to Anna

Access between sessions for strategic counsel when it matters. Not unlimited coaching: precisely targeted guidance.

Member-only resources

Frameworks in development, notes from Anna’s Forbes work, structured problem-solving tools and priority access to AdvantEdge programs and events.

A $500 enrollment credit

Members receive $500 toward any individual coaching program. See programs and pricing.

How it works

A typical session

We meet for 2.5 hours each month. Every session combines structured problem-solving with open strategic dialogue, so each member gets focused attention while contributing to others’ breakthroughs. You leave with clarity, not just conversation.

  1. Strategic check-ins

What is demanding each member’s attention right now.

  2. Deep-dive problem-solving

One or two members’ pressing challenges, worked by the whole room.

  3. Accountability review

Commitments from the previous session, and what happened.

  4. Capture

Dedicated time to record insights and next moves before we adjourn.

Who gets in

Membership is by application, because the value of any peer group depends on who is in the room. We assess mutual fit: leadership level, willingness to contribute as generously as you receive, openness to challenge and commitment to confidentiality. We also screen for competitive conflicts.

What stays in the room

What is shared in the Collective stays in the Collective. Every member signs a participation agreement committing to confidentiality, so personnel decisions, financial challenges, strategic vulnerabilities and personal struggles can be discussed knowing the room is sealed.

Is this you

Built for leaders who are done with surface-level development

We look for leaders who are already successful by conventional measures and honest enough to admit that something in their approach needs to change. Title matters less than trajectory. Industry matters less than intention.

This is for you if

  • You are a business owner, CEO or senior executive responsible for organizational outcomes, or a leader new to the C-suite
  • You have read the books and attended the workshops, and still default to old patterns under pressure
  • You want peers who operate at the same altitude, not a room where you are the most experienced person
  • You are willing to examine your own operating system with the rigor you bring to your organization’s
  • You believe transformation comes through practice and relationship, not information alone
  • You can commit to monthly in-person attendance in Medford

This is not for you if

  • You are primarily looking for leads and referrals
  • You want to observe without participating
  • You are early in your leadership journey
  • You are not ready to sit with discomfort as part of your development
  • Monthly in-person attendance is not realistic for your schedule

Founding cohort

Founding members shape what this becomes

The Collective launches with a founding cohort who shape it from the ground up: input on format, focus areas and cadence, and preferred membership terms that will not be available once it opens more broadly. The best communities are not built by scaling fast. They start with the right people in the room.

Your facilitator

Great peer conversations do not happen by accident

They require someone who can read the room, ask the question no one else will ask, and hold space for the honesty that changes how leaders think. Anna Barnhill, MCC, is an ICF Master Certified Coach, Top 1% Globally, a Professional Fellow, IOC, McLean/Harvard Medical School, and the author of Leaderwired, with sixteen years advising executives at Fortune 500 companies across tech, healthcare, finance and government. A peer group without skilled facilitation is just a meeting.

Anna’s story

Questions

What to know before you apply

How is this different from other peer groups?

Three things. Curation: we are selective about who joins. Methodology: every session is built on the Leaderwired frameworks, including the 7-5-3 Human Upgrade Code and the House of Empathy. Facilitation: every session is guided by a Master Certified Coach. Not networking; a structured operating-system upgrade with peers.

How are members selected, and what happens after I apply?

Complete the brief application below. Anna reaches out within one week for a personal conversation and evaluates fit in both directions: whether you will benefit from the group and whether you will contribute to others’ growth. Not everyone is accepted. If it is right, she shares next steps for enrollment.

What is the time commitment?

One 2.5-hour session per month in Medford, plus brief preparation when applicable. Membership is annual, because trust takes time and relationships deepen significantly after the first several months.

Is there a virtual option?

Not currently. The depth of conversation we are cultivating requires physical presence. If monthly in-person attendance is not realistic, individual coaching may be a better fit.

What does it cost?

$6,000 for the annual membership, which includes the monthly sessions, the quarterly labs, member-only resources and a $500 credit toward any individual coaching program. Founding members receive preferred terms.
