Leaderwired Institute

Between sessions: the simulator we built for leaders

The training that works has never scaled, and the training that scales has never worked. Leaderwired Institute, the AI-native company Anna co-founded, is the answer: an engine that evaluates, develops, coaches and reinforces every leader on the method you meet in this practice, so the work between conversations is real and its progress is measurable.

Hours in the box, between the sessions

A note from Anna

Why I built it

For sixteen years I have coached senior executives one to one, and I have watched the same thing happen at every level below them. A leader attends a program, agrees with every word, and is back to the old habit within a month, because there was nowhere to practice the new behavior before it mattered.

The coaching that changes that has never been scalable. Most leaders will never have access to it, not because they are not ready, but because one-on-one coaching at the highest level has always been reserved for a handful of executives. The industry did not solve that gap. It monetized it: more platforms, more content nobody finishes, more chatbots dressed up as coaching.

Benjamin Bloom showed in 1984 that one-on-one mastery tutoring moves a learner from the 50th to the 98th percentile. For forty years nobody could deliver that at scale. So I built the Institute on the methodology I use in the room, with Justin building the systems around it: an AI tutor and coach that advance a leader only on demonstrated mastery. It is not a replacement for the work in the room. It is the hours in the box between the sessions.

Leadership is the only high-stakes profession without a simulator. Pilots have sims. Surgeons have cadavers and sim labs. Athletes have reps against live opposition. Leaders get a two-day offsite and a laminated card.

Aviation did not improve safety through better curriculum. It improved through hours in the box and mandatory recurrence.

Why it exists

Knowledge was never the problem. Transfer is.

Most leadership development stops at knowledge. A leader learns the framework, agrees with it, and goes back to old habits because there was nowhere to practice the new behavior before it mattered. Sessions with Anna are where the thinking changes. The days between them are where the behavior does, or does not.

Leaderwired exists to close that gap: realistic practice on the exact skill you are working on, a coaching companion available at the moment you need one, and evidence of what changed. Three tools, one methodology, the same one you meet in the coaching room.

The tools

Three ways the work continues

Leaderwired Institute

Leadership programs from first-time manager to senior executive, built as practice rather than lectures. In each scenario you have a real conversation, make decisions under pressure and get immediate feedback on what you did. An AI tutor plays both the character in the scene and the coach who debriefs it. You advance only when you demonstrate the competency in a realistic scenario, not when you finish a module, and an Integration Report summarizes demonstrated strengths, growth areas and a concrete plan.

  • Twelve programs, first promotion to executive
  • Progress on demonstrated mastery
  • Available in seventeen languages

AI Coach Anna

A voice-first coaching companion built on Anna’s method. You press a button and talk. She sets the agreement for the session, listens, asks the questions a coach would ask, and asks permission before she challenges you. She remembers across sessions: the commitment you made three weeks ago, the pattern that keeps showing up. Every session closes with a commitment, and the next one opens with what happened to it.

  • Memory across sessions
  • Permission before challenge
  • Session content is never used to train external models; you can delete your history at any time
  • Not a clinical product, and not a replacement for Anna

The Leaderwired EQ Gym

A voice-first, scenario-based program that trains thirteen emotional intelligence skills through realistic workplace role-plays: an opinionated peer, a skeptical board member, a quietly struggling teammate. Built on the work of Goleman, Boyatzis and McKee and mapped to the EQ-i 2.0 framework we use for baselines. Each skill is introduced briefly, shown in a worked example, then practiced under pressure with an honest debrief. It ends with a report card across all thirteen skills.

  • Thirteen skills in five clusters
  • Four to six hours, at your own pace
  • Standalone, or alongside emotional intelligence coaching

How it fits

Inside an AdvantEdge engagement

Inside an AdvantEdge engagement: the loop between sessions Four stages in a loop. A baseline assessment sets the starting point. Sessions with Anna are the core. Practice between sessions happens in the Leaderwired Institute, the EQ Gym and with AI Coach Anna, with commitments captured and followed up. Progress is measured at ninety days and at close, then the loop continues. INSIDE AN ENGAGEMENT A baseline EQ-i 2.0, the Energy Leadership Index, a 360 or stakeholder interviews set the starting point. Sessions with Anna The coaching conversations are the core of the engagement. Nothing about that changes. Practice between The Leaderwired Institute a scenario on the skill you are working on The Leaderwired EQ Gym emotional intelligence, practiced under pressure AI Coach Anna the decision you are avoiding Measured At ninety days and at close: stakeholder feedback, and the Institute’s competency scores. COMMITMENTS ARE CAPTURED. THE NEXT SESSION OPENS WITH WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM. The sessions are where the thinking changes. The days between them are where the behavior does.

Leaderwired Institute, the AI-native engine

The training that works never scaled. The training that scaled never worked.

Benjamin Bloom proved it in 1984: a learner with a tutor outperforms 98 percent of a classroom. Forty years later, leadership development still runs on the same trade-off. The offsite and the course scale; the coach does not. Leaders attend, absorb, return to their desks, and revert.

Leaderwired Institute is the answer Anna and Justin built: an AI-native engine, trained on the method you meet in this practice, that evaluates every leader, develops them through unscripted practice against live scenarios, coaches them between conversations, and advances them only on demonstrated mastery. Every engagement with Anna can include it, so the work continues after the session ends and progress is measured, not assumed.

Questions

What clients ask about the AI

Does the AI replace sessions with Anna?

No. It extends what a coaching engagement can reach. The conversations with Anna remain the core of the work; the AI is where the practice happens between them, and where a commitment made on Tuesday gets followed up on Thursday.

Is what I say to AI Coach Anna confidential?

Session content is never used to train external models. You can delete your history at any time, and organizations receive a written confidentiality agreement.

Do I have to use it?

No. Every engagement can include it, and whether it fits is settled in the strategy session. Some leaders want the daily practice; others want the conversations with Anna and nothing else. Both are fine.

Who builds and runs it?

Leaderwired, the AI company Anna co-founded with Justin Barnhill, LSSMBB. Anna trained and calibrated AI Coach Anna herself and continues to review its coaching. The methodology is the same 7-5-3 Human Upgrade Code that runs through her book and her coaching.
